Sri Deshraj Arora, a philanthropist, founded the Parmanand Charitable Trust in 1985 to honour his father. As the trust is committed to serving society through social welfare and humanitarian work in the local area, it decided to establish higher and professional education centres in Gajsinghpur. The trust set up the Parmanand Degree College in the same year to promote Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Commerce education. In 1994, it separately set up the Parmanand Technology College to impart quality education in pharmacy, and in 2007, it set up the Parmanand Degree College for B.Ed. At the same pace, in the years 2010 Arts and year 2018, Science streams were added to the Parmanand Degree College. The trust is now led by industrialist and visionary personality Shri Sunil Arora, who is hastening the pace of social welfare.
